3D Systems’ and GF Machining’s co-branded additive manufacturing platforms have been made available in China and Taiwan.
The pair first announced their partnership a year ago and have subsequently gone on to unveil a series of machines, including the DMP Factory 500, DMP Factory 350 and DMP Flex 350. Their alliance has aimed to pool together 3D Systems’ 3D printing expertise with GF Machining’s aptitude in industrial equipment through a series of scalable platforms which would facilitate automated factory environments. As of the 1st August 2019, the partners have expanded into China.
Supplementing this availability of the partners’ co-branded additive manufacturing machines is GF Machining’s recently opened Customer Innovation Center in Shanghai. This facility will house a comprehensive fleet of applications, service and sales staff to support the Greater China region. It will give customers, and potential customers, access to a team of experts, who will offer consultative, benchmarking, and quality assurance services.
3D Systems and GF Machining have designed their co-branded machines for round the clock production at scale. They see the Greater China region as one of the perfect markets.
“China and Taiwan are strategic key markets for GF Machining Solutions where we support our customers with an organisation of more than 350 direct application, service and sales personnel,” commented Laurent Castella, Head of Market Region Asia at GF Machining Solutions. “We are delighted to enhance the support to our customers in the transition towards additive manufacturing with our new Customer Innovation Center in Shanghai and by a dedicated group of additive manufacturing experts.”
“The Chinese and Taiwanese markets are known for global manufacturing leadership,” added Herbert Koeck, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Global Go To Market, 3D Systems. “Manufacturers in this region are looking for ways to transform their production workflows in order to maintain their competitive position.”
