GMP peptides Manufacturing

Dongdu Biology has mastered the development and production of peptides for a long time. Peptides are short-chain amino acids linked by peptide bonds, which enables the new generation of small molecular drugs to closely simulate the natural pathway of human body.
Now, Dongdu Bio has a first-class industrial-scale polypeptide production capacity, which fully meets the most stringent good manufacturing practices (cGMP) standards.

Upstream peptide synthesis
Dongdu Bio's production plant has the most advanced equipment for solvent supply, peptide synthesis, purification and separation of active components and intermediates. All equipment and containers have passed GMP certification and cleaning verification. The overlapping capacity and size of different equipment series contribute to the steady growth of demand during the product life cycle.
For a wide range of liquid chemistry, Dongdu Bio uses reactors up to 5000 liters. For solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), it uses a reactor up to 1000 liters, and is currently building a larger-scale selection.

Downstream purification and separation of peptides
Dongdu Bio is committed to the systematic expansion and modernization of purification equipment to ensure the efficient production of increasing polypeptide raw materials.
It uses complex methods for large-scale purification, such as preparative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ion exchange (IEX), size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and ultrafiltration (UF/TFF). After the equipment is in place, it can efficiently or even continuously produce ultra-high purity products up to several kilograms per batch.
For preparative HPLC, a dynamic axial compression (DAC) stainless steel column with a diameter of up to 60 cm was packed with a suitable high-efficiency silica gel separation phase in batch and continuous mode. For low-pressure chromatographic columns, the diameter can reach 80 cm. Ensure that the solvent is transported from the eluent storage tank area and containers.
The control of microbial contamination is a prerequisite for the production of APIs. Class D (ISO 8) and Class C (ISO 7) cleanrooms are supplied with HEPA filtered air with controlled temperature and humidity. Downflow cleanrooms are used to minimize microbial pollution and protect operators. Highly active pharmaceutical ingredients are processed in an integrated safety workbench or flexible isolator that reaches OEB 4 level (1-10 g/m3).
The predefined physical and chemical properties of APIs can only be achieved through strictly controlled separation processes. In addition to precipitation and crystallization, lyophilization of intermediates and final APIs is a standard unit operation. Dongdu Bio has several freeze-dryers of different sizes (up to 300 liters) in the clean room.

Small molecule manufacturing
Dongdu Bio's peptide factory also provides a series of professional services for the production of cGMP small molecules.
Small molecule production capacity includes: process development, chiral synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry, metal catalytic reaction, hydrogenation, oxidation and reduction using various reagents, enzymatic reaction and high pressure reaction.
